Pakistan booked their place in the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup after defeating Bangladesh by eight wickets in the second semi-final on Wednesday.
Chasing a modest target of 122 runs, Pakistan comfortably achieved the total with just two wickets down. Samir Minhas starred with the bat, remaining unbeaten on 69 runs to guide his team home with confidence.
Uthman Khan contributed 27 runs, while Ahmed Hussain added 11 as Pakistan sealed victory without much difficulty. The successful chase underlined Pakistan’s dominance in the knockout encounter.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to field first. Due to rain, the match was reduced to 27 overs per side. Bangladesh struggled against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack and were bowled out for 121 runs in 26.3 overs.
Abdul Subhan led the bowling effort with an impressive four-wicket haul, while Huzifa Ahsan claimed two wickets. Ali Raza, Mohammad Siyam and Ahmed Hussain chipped in with one wicket each.
In the first semi-final, India defeated Sri Lanka to qualify for the final. The much-anticipated Under-19 Asia Cup final between Pakistan and India will be played on Sunday, December 21.
