Sindh Government to Advertise Vacant Public Sector Jobs on Provincial Portal by End of January

The Sindh government has announced that advertisements for government job vacancies will be published on the provincial job portal by the end of January, as part of efforts to ensure transparent and merit-based recruitment.

The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, where key matters related to public services, development projects, and government hiring were reviewed.

Directing all departments to adhere to the timeline, the chief secretary said that timely publication of job advertisements would help provide fair and equal employment opportunities to citizens across the province. He stressed that recruitment must be conducted transparently and strictly on merit.

During the meeting, Asif Haider Shah also announced that Sindh cabinet meetings have been fully digitalised, a move aimed at enhancing transparency, improving governance, and accelerating decision-making processes.

He further instructed officials to ensure prompt resolution of complaints received through the Prime Minister’s Complaint Cell and emphasised the importance of completing development projects within stipulated timelines to avoid delays in public service delivery.

Addressing administrative matters, the chief secretary directed that all pension cases must be resolved within one year, while medical reimbursement claims should be cleared within six months to reduce hardship for retired and serving government employees.

Concluding the meeting, Asif Haider Shah reaffirmed that efficient, timely, and high-quality public service delivery remains the top priority of the Sindh government, warning that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.
