Pakistan Women’s U19 capped off a strong comeback by defeating Bangladesh Women’s U19 by six wickets in the fifth and final T20 at the Cox’s Bazar Academy Ground, sealing the series 3-2 on Friday afternoon.

Chasing 85 runs, Pakistan reached the target with three overs to spare, marking their second consecutive six-wicket victory after trailing 2-1 earlier in the series.

Pakistan’s chase began shakily as captain Eman Naseer and Raahima Syed fell early with just 16 on the board. Despite the early setback, Eman ended the series as the top scorer, amassing 97 runs across five matches.

A steady 37-run partnership between Komal Khan and Aqsa Habib stabilized the innings. Aqsa scored a brisk 21 off 23 balls, while Komal contributed 25 off 46 before both departed in consecutive overs.

With Pakistan at 53-3, Fizza Fiaz took control, smashing a six and a four to finish 18 not out off 14 balls. Areesha Ansari supported with an unbeaten 7 off 10, sealing the win comfortably.

For Bangladesh, Habiba Islam Pinky, Otoshi Mojumder, and Farjana Easmin took a wicket each.

Earlier, after opting to bowl first, Pakistan’s attack dismantled Bangladesh’s batting lineup, reducing them to 31-5 in 8.1 overs. Player of the Match Barirah Saif struck twice in one over, finishing with impressive figures of 3-16.
Bangladesh’s only resistance came from No.6 batter Sadia Akter, who scored 27 off 28 balls. The hosts were bowled out for 84 in 19.1 overs.

Rozina Akram also impressed, picking up 2-16, ending the series with eight wickets, making her the joint third-highest wicket-taker alongside Memoona Khalid.
