UAE President Arrives in Pakistan on First Official Visit

President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, arrived in Pakistan on a one-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, marking his first state visit to Pakistan since assuming office as UAE president.


The UAE president was accorded a warm and dignified welcome at Nur Khan Airbase, where Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Defence Forces and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir received him. Pakistan Air Force’s JF-17 fighter jets presented an aerial salute in honor of the visiting leader.


During high-level talks, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed held detailed discussions aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations. Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in investment and trade, while reaffirming their commitment to expanding partnerships in energy, infrastructure, information technology, and emerging technologies.


The leaders emphasized the need to translate strong political ties into sustainable economic collaboration, noting that Pakistan-UAE relations are built on mutual trust, shared values, and decades of close friendship.


As part of the visit, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The exchange of salutes between the two leaders symbolized the deep-rooted brotherly relationship and strong defense ties between Pakistan and the UAE.


Officials described the visit as a reflection of mutual respect and enduring friendship, underscoring the determination of both countries to elevate their strategic partnership and explore new avenues of cooperation for regional stability and economic growth.
