Bangladesh Air Chief meets Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan and Bangladesh reaffirm defense cooperation

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held a high-level meeting with the Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, reaffirming the commitment of both countries to strengthen defence and military cooperation.


According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Bangladeshi Air Chief arrived at GHQ, where discussions focused on matters of mutual interest and the evolving regional security environment.


During the meeting, both sides reviewed prospects for enhancing bilateral defence and military collaboration. Emphasis was placed on expanding professional cooperation between the armed forces of Pakistan and Bangladesh.


The two military leaders also underlined the importance of training exchanges and deeper defence ties, agreeing that such cooperation would further strengthen institutional linkages between the two countries’ armed forces.


The Bangladeshi Air Chief praised the professionalism and operational capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces and commended their role in promoting peace and stability in the region.


Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to fostering long-term and enduring defence relations with Bangladesh. The meeting was described as a reflection of the strong, brotherly, and longstanding ties between the two nations.


At the conclusion of the visit, the Field Marshal presented the Bangladeshi Air Chief with a special Minar-e-Pakistan shield as a gesture of goodwill and mutual respect.
