Highly anticipated video game Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) is officially scheduled for release in November 2026, but fresh comments from Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier have sparked renewed concern among fans regarding a possible delay.

The discussion intensified after Schreier suggested that GTA 6 may not be as “content complete” as Rockstar Games had previously implied. His remarks led some fans to believe that the game had already been postponed internally, prompting widespread speculation across gaming communities.

Clarifying his comments during an appearance on the Button Mash podcast, Schreier said, “The last I heard, [GTA 6] was still not content complete.” He explained that developers are still finalizing missions, levels, and deciding what content will ultimately be included in the final release. He added that no one at Rockstar can say with absolute certainty that the game will be ready by November.

Despite the uncertainty, Schreier emphasized that a fall 2026 release would not surprise him. He noted that if a delay does occur, it would follow a familiar pattern seen with Rockstar’s past projects, particularly Red Dead Redemption 2. Schreier described claims of a confirmed delay as “a complete misunderstanding” of his earlier statements.

Rockstar Games is known for delaying major AAA titles to ensure quality. GTA 6 has already faced two reported postponements, and industry reports suggest that another delay could cost the studio more than $60 million.

Meanwhile, pricing speculation has also stirred debate. Although Rockstar has not officially announced the price, analysts believe the standard edition of GTA 6 could be priced at $100. Such a move could potentially influence other publishers to raise game prices across the industry.

Rockstar Games currently plans to release Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026, with fans eagerly awaiting official confirmation on the game’s final status.
