U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed details of a controversial operation targeting Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Speaking at a press conference, Trump described the location where Maduro was reportedly detained as more fortress than residence.

According to Trump, the operation resulted in a few injuries among American personnel, but no fatalities. He claimed that Maduro had been warned a week earlier to surrender, and emphasized that the United States intended to strengthen its involvement in Venezuela’s oil industry.

Trump said adverse weather had delayed the operation by four days, and once conditions improved, the mission proceeded. He described Maduro’s residence as heavily fortified with steel on all sides, underscoring the perceived difficulty of the operation.

“Watching the arrest of Maduro and his wife was like a TV show,” Trump said, adding that the speed and intensity of the operation were remarkable and unprecedented. He stated that no American forces were killed and that the injured personnel returned in good condition.

Trump further claimed that both Maduro and his wife face charges in New York, and that they are being transferred there. He accused Maduro of killing many people, including U.S. citizens, during his time in power.

Earlier, Trump shared an image of Maduro on his Truth Social account, drawing significant attention online. The revelations come amid ongoing political tensions between the United States and Venezuela.
