Workers Lock AbbTakk News Bureau Over Unpaid Salaries and Forced Dismissals

 

Karachi: Employees of AbbTakk News locked the bureau office in protest against unpaid salaries and forced dismissals. The workers claimed that they had not received their wages for several months and that several staff members were terminated without notice.

According to the protesting employees, repeated complaints were submitted to the management, but no action was taken. Journalists and staff members stated that they are raising their voices for their legitimate rights and demanded immediate payment of outstanding salaries along with the reinstatement of dismissed workers.

The protesters also warned that if their demands are not met, the demonstrations will intensify. Meanwhile, the management has yet to issue any official statement on the matter.
