CM Maryam Nawaz Visits Jalalpur Pirwala, Serves Food to Flood Victims at Relief Camp

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif
on Today visited the flood-hit areas of Jalalpur Pirwala, where she inspected the relief camp and personally served food to the affected families. Her visit was aimed at reviewing ongoing relief operations and ensuring that the victims of recent flooding receive proper assistance.


Maryam Nawaz interacted with women, children, and elderly citizens at the camp, listening to their grievances and assuring them of the provincial government’s full support. She stated that no effort will be spared in rehabilitating the affected people, adding that all available resources have been mobilized to provide shelter, food, and medical care.


The Chief Minister was briefed by local administration officials regarding relief measures, including the distribution of ration bags, tents, and medical supplies. She directed authorities to expedite the relief efforts and ensure transparency in aid distribution.


Speaking to the media, Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the provincial government stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the flood-hit people. “I will personally monitor the rehabilitation process. Our priority is to provide immediate relief and later focus on rebuilding the lives of those affected,” she said.


Citizens present at the camp lauded the Chief Minister’s gesture of serving food herself, calling it a morale booster for families who have lost their homes and belongings in the devastating floods.


Meanwhile, rescue and relief teams continue to work in the surrounding areas, with medical camps set up to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases.


Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious, as further rain spells are expected in southern Punjab over the coming days.
