According to multiple sources including Euronews and Al Jazeera, the private letter — addressed to Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis — claimed Kneecap’s political views were controversial and suggested their removal from the festival. Levy was allegedly one of the first signatories.
Dua Lipa is known for her public support of the Palestinian cause. Following the leak, she reportedly felt that Levy's actions were inconsistent with her values, especially given her vocal stance on raising awareness about the war in Gaza and human rights.
While she remains with the same talent agency William Morris Endeavor (WME), Lipa is said to have reassigned her representation to a different agent, ensuring that her professional team aligns more closely with her political beliefs.
The group Kneecap went on to perform at Glastonbury despite these removal efforts. Complaints were made to the police over the band’s performance, but investigations were dropped due to lack of evidence of criminal wrongdoing.
