According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office and White House announcements, leaders from countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkiye, Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, and Qatar will participate. The meeting aims to exchange views on key regional and international issues, particularly peace and security challenges facing Muslim nations.
The gathering comes at a critical moment, with intensifying military operations in Gaza drawing international concern. Pakistan has also reportedly indicated it will raise issues such as Palestine and Kashmir in bilateral and multilateral discussions during the UNGA week.
Shehbaz Sharif, who arrived in New York for UNGA, is participating in various engagements throughout the session, including meetings with senior UN officials and other world leaders.
