Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will embark on an official visit to the United States on September 22 to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, government sources confirmed on Sunday.

During the week-long visit, the Prime Minister is expected to deliver an address at the UNGA focusing on global peace, climate change, economic cooperation, and the situation in South Asia. He is also likely to highlight Pakistan’s stance on the Palestinian issue and regional security challenges.

In addition to his speech at the General Assembly, Shehbaz Sharif will hold bilateral meetings with world leaders, including heads of state and government from key partner countries. Talks are expected to cover economic ties, investment opportunities, and international collaboration on sustainable development.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to meet with members of the Pakistani diaspora in the U.S., business leaders, and representatives of international organizations to promote trade and investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Foreign Office officials said the visit reflects Pakistan’s active engagement in international diplomacy and its commitment to addressing shared global challenges.
