The number of dengue cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues to rise. According to the provincial health department, 57 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.

Official data shows that so far this year, the province has recorded 1,181 dengue cases. On Sunday alone, 1,115 cases were confirmed across different districts.

Health authorities said Peshawar remains the most affected district with 714 reported cases. Meanwhile, 93 cases were reported in Mardan, 67 in Nowshera, and 43 in Swabi.

Special dengue wards have been set up in hospitals across the province, where patients are being provided with medical assistance. Citizens have been urged to follow preventive measures, including avoiding water accumulation in homes and surroundings.

Medical experts warned that dengue mosquitoes breed in clean water, stressing that households should keep tanks, buckets, and containers covered to prevent the spread of the virus.
