In a landmark development, Egypt, Turkey, Qatar, and the United States officially signed the Gaza ceasefire and peace agreement, marking what many are calling a major diplomatic breakthrough in the Middle East.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, U.S. President Donald Trump described the event as a “historic day for peace in the region,” emphasizing that the Gaza Peace Accord was made possible through the collective efforts of partner nations.

“This is a historic achievement. The Gaza peace agreement will bring stability and hope to millions,” Trump declared. “We have never witnessed a day like this before.”

Trump praised Egypt’s critical role in mediating the truce, highlighting President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s leadership in facilitating dialogue between Israeli and Palestinian representatives. He also commended Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for his “tireless efforts” in pushing both sides toward compromise.

Acknowledging Turkey’s participation, Trump referred to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as “a great friend and a strong leader with one of the finest armies in the world,” noting that his cooperation was essential in finalizing the terms of the deal.

The U.S. President added that the agreement includes detailed provisions defining the operational and humanitarian aspects of Gaza’s reconstruction and long-term stability. He called it a “comprehensive and lasting framework” for peace in the region.

“We want enduring peace and stability in the Middle East,” Trump said. “Together, we will help rebuild Gaza and ensure that its people can live with dignity and security.”

Trump also acknowledged that some issues remain unresolved, including the repatriation of the remains of Israeli hostages still unaccounted for in Gaza. He pledged that the U.S. and its partners would assist in locating and returning them to their families.

Diplomatic observers have described the signing as a significant milestone, following months of negotiations amid intense violence between Israel and Hamas. The agreement is expected to lead to sustained calm in Gaza and open pathways for reconstruction efforts funded by international donors.
