Meta has unveiled a new AI-powered photo editing feature for Facebook that allows users to edit images directly from their phone’s camera roll using the company’s advanced artificial intelligence technology.

According to tech reports, users can now grant Meta AI access to their stored photos by enabling a setting within Facebook. Once activated, the feature allows Meta AI to edit pictures from the device’s camera roll, which can then be shared directly to Facebook Feed and Stories.

For now, the feature is available exclusively to users in the United States and Canada, with plans for a broader rollout in the future.

Meta explained that users can activate the option through Facebook Settings under Camera Roll Sharing Suggestions, where enabling Cloud Processing gives access to AI-powered image editing tools. The company clarified that users maintain full control and can disable the feature anytime.

Meta also assured that photos stored in a user’s camera roll will not be used for advertising or AI training unless those edited images are voluntarily shared on Facebook or with others.

This new integration highlights Meta’s ongoing push to make AI tools more accessible to everyday users, seamlessly blending creative editing with data privacy and control.
