A reduction in petroleum product prices is expected across Pakistan starting October 16, according to sources in the petroleum sector.

As per initial estimates, the price of petrol is likely to decrease by up to Rs. 6.10 per liter, offering slight relief to consumers already burdened by persistent inflation.

Meanwhile, based on the price calculations submitted to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) is also expected to drop by around Rs. 0.97 per liter.

This anticipated price cut follows recent global oil market adjustments and the strengthening of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, which together could ease transportation and commodity costs nationwide.
