President Asif Ali Zardari held an important meeting with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, where both leaders discussed the country’s internal and external security situation in detail.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency, Field Marshal Asim Munir briefed the President on Pakistan’s overall security landscape, including the recent escalation caused by aggressive and provocative actions from the Afghan Taliban government.
He also updated the President on the measured and effective response carried out by the Pakistan Army to safeguard the nation’s borders and maintain stability.
President Zardari expressed complete confidence in the strength, courage, and professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He praised their constant vigilance and capability in defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Commending the military’s swift and professional response to cross-border attacks, the President reaffirmed that Pakistan will take every necessary step to protect its national sovereignty and regional stability.
