Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi publicly apologized to the people after a traffic disruption occurred during his arrival in Karak for a party rally.
Addressing the gathering, Afridi explained that he had strictly instructed his Chief Security Officer not to block any roads for his movement. However, upon arrival, he noticed that a route had been temporarily closed. When he inquired, the officer explained that it was done for just one minute to avoid any complications. Afridi reiterated that even a one-minute road closure was unacceptable and forbade it.
He further stated that the Chief Security Officer offered to resign over the incident, claiming it was necessary for the CM’s safety. Afridi declined the resignation and chose instead to personally apologize to the public for the inconvenience caused, emphasizing his commitment to citizens’ convenience over protocol.
