U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has revealed that several nations have expressed readiness to participate in an international peacekeeping force for Gaza, aimed at ensuring stability and supporting post-conflict reconstruction efforts in the region.

Speaking to reporters, Rubio cautioned that the Israeli parliament’s recent move to annex parts of the West Bank poses a serious threat to the ongoing Gaza peace agreement. He emphasized that such unilateral actions could derail diplomatic progress and complicate regional peace initiatives.

In a related development, British troops have been deployed to Israel at Washington’s request to assist in overseeing the Gaza peace plan. According to British media reports, a senior commander and a limited number of soldiers have been stationed in Israel to monitor and coordinate aspects of the peacekeeping operation.

Earlier, U.S. CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper clarified that the 200 troops assigned to monitor the Gaza peace initiative would not include any American military personnel, reinforcing the multinational nature of the mission.

The planned peacekeeping effort reflects growing international involvement in stabilizing Gaza following months of conflict, with the United States, United Kingdom, and allied nations seeking to prevent renewed violence and ensure humanitarian access.
