The Pakistan Army has announced that over 200 Taliban fighters and allied militants were killed in response to cross-border aggression from Afghanistan on the night of October 11–12, 2025.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attack was carried out by Afghan Taliban militants, allegedly backed by India, under the banner of “Fitna-tul-Khawarij.” The attackers opened fire and attempted incursions at several points along the border, aiming to create instability and further terrorist objectives in the region.

ISPR stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces not only repelled the assault but also inflicted heavy losses on the Taliban and associated groups. In self-defense, Pakistani forces launched effective and decisive counterstrikes, targeting Taliban camps and border posts inside Afghan territory.

The military’s media wing added that all precautionary measures were taken to avoid civilian casualties and property damage during the operations.

According to intelligence assessments, more than 200 militants were killed and many others wounded. Several Taliban strongholds were destroyed, and Pakistani forces temporarily took control of 21 Taliban positions along the border belt.

ISPR emphasized that Pakistan prefers diplomacy and dialogue but will not tolerate the use of Afghan soil for terrorism. The statement also pointed out that the attack coincided with the Afghan Foreign Minister’s visit to India, accusing New Delhi of being the region’s primary sponsor of terrorism.
