Pakistan and South Africa captains, Shan Masood and Aiden Markram, officially unveiled the trophy for their upcoming two-match Test series during a ceremony held at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore on Friday.

The much-awaited series will begin on Saturday at Gaddafi Stadium, marking Pakistan’s return to Test cricket after 258 days. It also kicks off the new 2025–27 ICC World Test Championship cycle, with South Africa entering as the defending champions.

Adding to the excitement, veteran spinner Asif Afridi is expected to make a surprise debut, stepping in for the injured Sajid Khan. Meanwhile, Babar Azam stands on the brink of achieving another milestone — nearing 3,000 runs in World Test Championship matches — a feat eagerly anticipated by fans across the country.
