Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a high-level meeting with former President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidential Palace, where key political matters and the ongoing Pak-Afghan border tensions were discussed in detail.

According to sources, the meeting was attended by prominent political figures including Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Farooq H. Naik, and Sherry Rehman.

Additionally, Political Advisor Rana Sanaullah, Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, and former Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar participated via video link.

During the discussion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif briefed President Zardari about his upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia. The current political situation in Azad Kashmir was also reviewed, including deliberations on the appointment of a new Prime Minister for the region and government formation plans.

The sources further stated that the meeting provided a platform for the Prime Minister to update the President on governmental and political matters, with a special focus on the escalating tensions along the Pak-Afghan border.
