Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reiterated his country’s unwavering support for the people of Gaza, calling for immediate measures to open humanitarian corridors to deliver essential aid to the besieged population.

Speaking at a joint press conference with the German Chancellor in Ankara, President Erdogan welcomed the German leader, describing the visit as an “honor” and emphasizing the importance of strengthening strategic cooperation between Turkey and Germany.

Erdogan highlighted the significant potential for collaboration in the defense industry, urging both nations to focus on joint projects that would benefit mutual security and technological advancement.

Addressing ongoing regional conflicts, the Turkish president reaffirmed that Turkey would continue its fight against terrorism, while maintaining solidarity with the people of Gaza amid the escalating humanitarian crisis. “The suffering of Gaza’s civilians is beyond measure,” he said, urging the international community to act swiftly to ensure aid reaches those in need.

Erdogan also noted that discussions with the German Chancellor included the Syrian conflict, praising Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara for “choosing peace over weapons,” and stressing the need for regional stability through diplomacy.

The meeting reflected Ankara’s continued commitment to balancing humanitarian concerns with strategic diplomacy in the Middle East and Europe.
