The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed national cricketer Shan Masood as the Consultant for International Cricket and Player Affairs, aiming to strengthen coordination between players and management while enhancing Pakistan’s global cricket engagement.


According to a PCB spokesperson, the appointment is intended to provide players with expert guidance on international cricket matters and foster improved communication within the board’s structure.


The 36-year-old left-handed batter has represented Pakistan in 44 Tests, 9 ODIs, and 19 T20 Internationals, amassing over 3,100 runs, including six Test centuries. Shan Masood also served as Pakistan’s Test captain, leading the team in 14 matches during his tenure.


The PCB noted that Masood’s extensive experience and leadership will play a key role in improving player performance, professionalism, and representation at the international level.


In his new capacity, Shan Masood will oversee player development programs, contribute to policy consultations on international cricket structures, and assist in shaping future strategic initiatives for Pakistan cricket.
