| WhatsApp Introduces ‘@All’ Feature / Photo File (Express Tribune) |
WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature for Android beta users, allowing members to tag everyone in a group chat simultaneously using the @all command — a major upgrade aimed at improving communication in large groups.
According to international reports, this update eliminates the need to mention each participant individually, saving time and ensuring no one is missed in important discussions. When a user types @all, every group member will receive a notification — even those who have muted the chat.
The feature is particularly useful for large groups and community chats where it’s essential to deliver updates to all participants at once. Unlike admin-only tools, this option will be available to all group members, enhancing accessibility and coordination.
Additionally, WhatsApp is testing another feature that would allow users to mute @all mentions, giving them more control over notifications.
