Several former leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have decided to reach out to political parties and other stakeholders in a bid to secure the release of PTI founder Imran Khan, sources revealed on Friday.

According to inside reports, a delegation of ex-PTI leaders met Shah Mahmood Qureshi recently, where discussions focused on potential strategies to ease political tensions and pave the way for Imran Khan’s release.

The outreach team reportedly includes Fawad Chaudhry, Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi, Mahmood Molvi, and Sibtain Khan, among others. Sources added that the former PTI leadership may hold meetings with leaders from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and potentially with Imran Khan himself, depending on the situation.

Insiders also disclosed that the group intends to act as a bridge between major political factions to help lower the current political temperature in the country. During the meeting, the leaders discussed national reconciliation, political stability, and the importance of dialogue.

Additionally, the former PTI members held talks with Ejaz Chaudhry, Mian Mehmood ur Rashid, and Umar Sarfraz Cheema to exchange views on the evolving political landscape.
