Israeli military operations in Gaza have persisted despite an official ceasefire, pushing the death toll since October 8, 2023, beyond 69,000, according to Arab media reports.
Rescue teams continue to search through the rubble of destroyed buildings and other sites for the bodies of Palestinians trapped under debris. Meanwhile, Israel has handed over the remains of 15 more Palestinian prisoners to local authorities.
In a reciprocal gesture, Hamas returned the body of one additional hostage to Israel, leaving five hostage remains still in Gaza.
The violence has also spilled over into Lebanon, where ongoing Israeli airstrikes have resulted in three fatalities.
The situation continues to draw international concern as humanitarian agencies emphasize the urgent need for aid access and adherence to the ceasefire to prevent further civilian casualties.
