The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced that Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi have secured their HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise rights for the next decade, marking a major milestone ahead of the league’s expansion.

According to the PCB, Lahore Qalandars—owned by brothers Atif and Sameen Rana—and Peshawar Zalmi, headed by Javed Afridi, finalized their renewals following an independent valuation conducted by Ernst & Young. The renewed agreements include significant fee increases, though the board has chosen not to reveal the exact financial details.

The announcement comes as PSL prepares for its 11th edition, which will introduce an expanded lineup of eight teams. The long-term commitments from the two franchises are seen as a sign of confidence in the league’s growth, stability, and commercial appeal.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised both franchises for their strong brand-building efforts and influential presence in Pakistani cricket. He highlighted their continued role in fan engagement, talent scouting, and youth development initiatives across the country.

The PCB added that the agreements reinforce the franchises’ dedication to nurturing local talent and strengthening the league’s competitive landscape as it enters a new era of expansion and investment.
