Pakistan Exposes Indian Disinformation Campaign After “Operation Sandor” Failure: Atta Tarar

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar has stated that following the failure of India’s “Operation Sandor”, New Delhi has launched a misinformation and disinformation campaign against Pakistan. He said Pakistan’s security agencies have uncovered and exposed the conspiracy.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad alongside Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, Atta Tarar revealed that Indian intelligence agencies had arrested a Pakistani fisherman named Ejaz Mallah and later sent him back to Pakistan on a covert mission. Mallah was apprehended by Pakistani authorities while allegedly attempting to purchase Army, Navy, and Rangers uniforms.

According to Tarar, the suspect confessed to his role after being taken into custody. During the press conference, the minister also presented a recorded confession in which Ejaz Mallah stated that Indian officials instructed him to bring back Pakistani uniforms, SIM cards, cigarettes, and currency.

The minister claimed that Indian agencies had also tasked Mallah with sending specific photographs. However, Pakistani authorities detained him upon his return to the country.

Atta Tarar asserted that India was “unable to digest its defeat” in Operation Sandor and had turned to spreading false narratives to malign Pakistan. He said that all factual details and evidence would soon be shared with the public to counter Indian propaganda.
