Pakistan Navy Ship PNS Saif visited the Republic of Maldives during its overseas deployment, where the mission commander held meetings with Maldivian military leadership to enhance bilateral maritime cooperation, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
According to the ISPR, discussions focused on issues of mutual interest, strengthening naval relations, and expanding collaboration in maritime security operations across the Indian Ocean region.
During the visit, the mission commander also called on officials at the Pakistan High Commission in Malé, while foreign diplomats and members of the Pakistani community were invited aboard the ship to observe its capabilities and interact with naval officers.
PNS Saif also conducted a joint passage exercise with Maldivian naval vessels, aimed at enhancing interoperability and operational coordination between the two navies.
The ISPR emphasized that such port visits by Pakistan Navy ships reflect the friendly relations and growing maritime cooperation between Pakistan and Maldives, contributing to regional peace and security.
