The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the national squad for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series against Sri Lanka and the following tri-nation T20 series.

According to Geo News, the PCB confirmed that Hasan Nawaz has been released from both the ODI and T20 squads, with no replacement named in the ODI lineup. Meanwhile, Fakhar Zaman and Abdul Samad have been included in the T20 squad, with Fakhar previously listed among the reserve players.

The ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka is scheduled to take place in Rawalpindi from November 11 to 15, 2025. Following the bilateral series, Pakistan will host a tri-nation T20 tournament from November 17 to 29, featuring Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.

Team management sources indicated that the selection was made based on player performance and fitness levels ahead of Pakistan’s busy cricketing calendar. The inclusion of experienced opener Fakhar Zaman is expected to strengthen the top order, while Abdul Samad’s aggressive batting adds depth to the middle order.
