Raveena made her debut alongside Salman Khan in the 1991 romantic action film Patthar Ke Phool, directed by Anant Balani. Despite the film’s success, their working relationship was far from smooth. According to reports, Salman and Raveena frequently clashed on set, leading the superstar to swear off working with her again.
However, fate had other plans. Just three years later, the two reunited in the 1994 cult comedy Andaz Apna Apna, which also starred Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor. The film, now a classic, showcased the duo’s chemistry in a more lighthearted setting.
In a 2021 interview with Pinkvilla, Raveena Tandon reminisced about her first experience working with Salman Khan. “We were like two school kids who just wanted to argue over everything,” she recalled. “I was only 16, and Salman was about 23. We were very similar in nature — both stubborn and playful. We even grew up around the same environment since my father and Salim uncle worked together.”
Despite their early disagreements, both stars went on to carve out remarkable careers — Raveena as one of the leading actresses of the 1990s and Salman as one of Bollywood’s biggest megastars.
