U.S. President Donald Trump has once again hinted that Saudi Arabia may soon join the Abraham Accords, expressing optimism about a possible breakthrough in Middle East diplomacy.
During an interview on CBS’s program “60 Minutes”, Trump was asked whether Riyadh could normalize relations with Israel without a formal agreement on Palestinian statehood. Responding to the question, Trump said he believes “Saudi Arabia will join the Abraham Accords — we’ll find a solution.”
When pressed about the two-state solution, Trump stated he was uncertain if such an outcome would materialize, adding, “It depends on Israel and me.”
Meanwhile, the White House has confirmed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) will visit Washington on November 18, where he is expected to meet President Trump to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments.
U.S. media outlets report that the meeting comes amid Washington’s renewed pressure on Riyadh to join the Abraham Accords, a diplomatic initiative first brokered in 2020 under Trump’s previous administration.
The Abraham Accords, signed by the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco, normalized relations between these Arab nations and Israel, reshaping the region’s geopolitical landscape.
