Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam endured another disappointing outing in the Big Bash League (BBL) as he failed to make an impact in his second match of the tournament while representing Sydney Sixers.

Batting against Adelaide Strikers, Babar managed to score just nine runs before being dismissed. He was caught by Matthew Short off the bowling of Luke Wood, once again failing to provide a solid start for his side.

The latest dismissal follows a similarly underwhelming debut performance in the BBL, where Babar scored only two runs against Perth Scorchers. In that match, Sydney Sixers suffered a five-wicket defeat.

The contest against Adelaide Strikers was reduced to 11 overs per side due to rain, limiting batting opportunities. However, expectations remained high from Babar Azam, given his stature and experience in international cricket.

Babar’s early struggles have sparked discussion among fans and analysts, as he looks to adjust to Australian conditions and regain form in the fast-paced T20 competition.

It is worth noting that several Pakistani cricketers are featuring in this season of the Big Bash League, including Shaheen Afridi, Shadab Khan, and Mohammad Rizwan, all representing different franchises.

Despite the slow start, team management and supporters remain hopeful that Babar Azam will bounce back strongly in the remaining matches of the tournament.
