Federal Interior Secretary Accepts Resignations of Four NCCIA Officers in Ducky Bhai Case

The Federal Secretary for Interior has approved the resignations of four senior officers of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) in connection with the high-profile Ducky Bhai case, officials confirmed on Monday. The resignations took effect from November 20.

Those who stepped down include Deputy Director Sarfraz Chaudhry, Assistant Director Muhammad Usman, Assistant Director Shoaib Riaz, and Assistant Director Asma Majeed. The resignations were formally accepted following internal proceedings linked to alleged misconduct.

Last month, several NCCIA officials were arrested over allegations of receiving bribes from prominent YouTuber Ducky Bhai and other social media influencers. Following their arrest, the officers tendered their resignations amid mounting scrutiny.

According to a report by the Anti-Corruption Circle Lahore, corruption cases were registered against eight NCCIA officials in total. The cases stemmed from allegations of misuse of authority and illegal financial gains.

Among the arrested officials were an additional director, a deputy director, assistant directors, and sub-inspectors. Investigations revealed coordinated misconduct within the agency, prompting disciplinary and legal action.

Authorities have reiterated that accountability measures are being enforced without discrimination and that further legal proceedings against the accused officials are ongoing as part of a broader crackdown on corruption within federal institutions.
