Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has emphasized that Balochistan holds a central position in Pakistan’s prosperity and long-term development, stating that public welfare–focused policies are being implemented to fully utilize the province’s economic potential.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), participants of the 18th National Workshop Balochistan visited General Headquarters (GHQ), where they met with Field Marshal Asim Munir. During the interaction, detailed discussions were held on Balochistan’s socio-economic development and its strategic importance.
The Field Marshal praised the patriotism, resilience, and steadfastness of the people of Balochistan, stressing that their sacrifices and commitment are vital for national unity and progress. He reiterated that Balochistan plays a decisive role in Pakistan’s economic future.
Expressing satisfaction over people-centric development initiatives taken by both federal and provincial governments, he underlined the importance of channeling Balochistan’s vast resources and economic capacity for the direct benefit of its population.
Field Marshal Asim Munir further stated that welfare-based policies are helping unlock Balochistan’s true economic potential, adding that civil society has a crucial role in countering propaganda and ensuring sustainable development in the province.
He emphasized that rejecting personal and political agendas is essential for a brighter future for Balochistan, while warning that India-backed proxy elements are attempting to create instability in the region. He assured that security forces will thwart all hostile designs through decisive action.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to regional peace and stability, the Field Marshal warned that any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty or territorial integrity would be met with a strong and decisive response. The session concluded with an extensive question-and-answer segment, during which he addressed queries from the workshop participants.
