Karachi police reveal the suspects who poisoned and murdered three women

Shocking new details have emerged in the case involving the deaths of three women whose bodies were discovered inside a residential flat in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 1. According to ARY News, police have now identified the head of the household and his son, Yaseen, as the primary suspects in the disturbing incident.

Investigators revealed that the family had been facing severe financial pressure, with outstanding debts exceeding Rs. 10 million, in addition to another complaint linked to a Rs. 7.5 million loan. The family had been living in a rented apartment, while one of their vehicles was also on rent and another on bank lease. Yaseen reportedly worked as a property agent in Karachi.

Suspected Poisoning Plot

According to police inquiry, the father and son allegedly mixed toxic substances into juice and served it to the women. They reportedly planned to consume the same mixture themselves. However, Yaseen’s condition deteriorated quickly after ingestion, leading the father to panic and abandon the plan to drink the poison.

Investigators also confirmed that Yaseen’s wife, Maha, was allegedly poisoned first and her body was locked inside a separate room of the flat. A handwritten note recovered from the father has been sent for forensic analysis.

Authorities believe the suspects may have acted under the intense pressure of mounting debts.

Discovery of Bodies

The case came to light on Sunday evening when three women were found dead inside the apartment, while Yaseen was discovered unconscious under mysterious circumstances.
The deceased were identified as:

  • Samina, 52
  • Maha, 22
  • Samreen, 19

Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar took notice of the case and sought a detailed report from the SSP East.

Contradictory Statements and Suicide Attempt

Following the registration of the case, both the father and son were arrested. Investigators uncovered significant discrepancies in their statements regarding the timeline of the deaths.
The father initially claimed:

  • The daughter-in-law died around 3:30 a.m.
  • His wife died later under a blanket
  • His daughter was found dead on the sofa afterward

Police confirmed that Yaseen had consumed 15 sleeping pills in what appears to be a suicide attempt. Investigators also noted a considerable time gap between the first and third deaths.

The investigation into this tragic Karachi incident remains ongoing.
