TikTok Introduces New Social Features

TikTok has rolled out a series of new updates designed to make the video-sharing platform more social and interactive.

One of the major additions is the Shared Feed feature. As the name suggests, this feed allows friends and family to watch videos together in one place. It can be shared through direct messages, and the content displayed will be based on the interests of the members within that chat.

According to TikTok, the Shared Feed is a new way for users to discover content collectively, with the feed showing 15 videos per day. The platform has also launched a new dashboard where users can view their shared like history and other related data.

TikTok says the Shared Feed tool will be rolled out globally in the coming months.

Another feature, called Shared Collections, works similarly but focuses on saved content. This tool will allow users to collect, organize, and share videos. By saving a video, users can create a shared collection list and send it to anyone via direct message. The feature will be available worldwide for users aged 16 and above.

Additionally, TikTok is introducing holiday cards, which can be sent via direct messages to make festive interactions more fun and personalized.
