Pakistan’s security forces killed seven militants during an intelligence-based operation in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing said on Sunday.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted after receiving credible intelligence about the presence of militants linked to the Indian proxy group Fitna al-Khawarij in the area.
During the operation, security forces came under intense fire from the militants, leading to a fierce exchange of gunfire. As a result, seven militants were neutralized by the troops.
The ISPR confirmed that during the exchange, Naik Yasar Khan embraced martyrdom while fighting bravely. The martyred soldier hailed from Mardan district and was praised for his courage and sacrifice in the line of duty.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed militants, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region, the statement added.
The military reaffirmed its resolve to eliminate terrorism from the country, stating that such sacrifices further strengthen the nation’s determination to ensure peace and stability.
