A photograph showing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan exercising inside Adiala Jail has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread discussion. His sister, Aleema Khan, has confirmed that the image is genuine.

Speaking to the media after appearing before an anti-terrorism court, Aleema Khan said the picture circulating online is authentic and shows Imran Khan maintaining his fitness routine while in jail. She added that even she initially asked others to verify the image to ensure it was not generated using artificial intelligence.

Aleema Khan said Imran Khan appears exactly as he is currently in jail and believes the photo was likely taken during the summer season. She stressed that despite being incarcerated, Imran Khan continues to exercise regularly.

She revealed that the former prime minister is being kept in a solitary cell but has not abandoned his discipline. “Imran Khan has never given up two things in his life: faith in Allah and physical fitness,” she said.

Aleema Khan also criticized the authorities for denying her meetings with her brother, calling it her constitutional, legal, and moral right. She alleged that not only are visits being blocked, but at times inappropriate behavior is also directed toward family members.

Commenting on the judicial system, she said judges who fail to provide justice in accordance with the Constitution and law should not remain in office. She also rejected reports of internal divisions within PTI, calling claims of “Aleema Khan group” or “Bushra Bibi group” mere propaganda.

Aleema Khan emphasized that Imran Khan will not compromise on three core demands under any circumstances: supremacy of the Constitution, opposition to the 26th and 27th constitutional amendments, and the holding of transparent elections. She added that under international law, keeping a person in solitary confinement for more than five days amounts to torture, and said she would again seek permission to meet him on Tuesday.
