US President Announces Gaza Board of Peace as Pakistan Signs Agreement

The United States has formally announced the establishment of the Gaza Board of Peace, with Pakistan becoming a signatory to the draft framework. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif signed the document, marking Pakistan’s official participation in the initiative aimed at promoting stability in the Middle East.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, US President Donald Trump thanked participating countries for joining the Gaza Board of Peace, calling member states “respectable” and united in their desire for peace in the Middle East. He said there was a time when peace in the region seemed unimaginable, but collective efforts were now creating new possibilities.

President Trump claimed that under his leadership, major and previously “impossible” objectives had been achieved, including the prevention of multiple conflicts. He said his administration had helped stop eight wars and was actively working toward peace in Ukraine, while also pointing to what he described as improvements in the US economy.

Referring to tensions between Pakistan and India, Trump said both are nuclear-armed nations and asserted that he played a role in easing hostilities between them. According to Trump, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif told him that US diplomatic efforts helped save the lives of nearly ten million people.

Addressing the Gaza situation, Trump stated that his goal was to see Hamas disarmed, adding that if disarmament was not possible, the group would be eliminated. He also accused former president Joe Biden’s administration of allowing ISIS to regain strength, contrasting it with his earlier term when he said the group’s leadership was dismantled.

On Iran, Trump said the United States was open to negotiations if Tehran was willing to engage, while stressing that Washington would take all necessary steps to protect its interests. He also pledged continued efforts to secure US borders from drug trafficking networks.

Turning to Venezuela, Trump said positive steps had been taken that pleased the Venezuelan public, claiming he was in contact with the country’s new leadership. He further asserted that Venezuela holds 62 percent of the world’s oil reserves and concluded by saying the United States had made the world safer through cooperation with the United Nations and other international partners.
